Bad Doctors Posted: 12-31-05 17:54pm
I have to point out that doctors that i've
seen are very disappointing. One just let
out an annoyed sigh and went, "it's
probably just anxiety...." and started
doodling on his pad.
They think we're hypochondriacs, who make
these things up.
Like we have nothing better to do than to
make up illnesses?
Who would do this to themselves? Not
many.
What is wrong with doctors? They don't
seem to care and don't acknowledge that
panic/anxiety attacks are a serious
problem.

I know I went though something similar but
it was the nurses in outpatients... And
get this... At the hospital that I work
at. Yes I am a nurse and I am ashamed
that my fellow nurses are so inconsiderate
and cold.
People who do not suffer from anxiety and
panic attacks do not understand because
they themselves aren't or haven't
experienced it. They cannot sympathize
with us. They get frustrated. They
think that it is just a waste of their
time and shove you in a back room and make
you wait for hours to see the doctor.
They do not know that it is real for us,
and that we are frightened.

I agree, and not only that but sometimes I
question if they would be any more
considerate and warm, if we had something
"real" like lets say cancer.
Sometimes, I really wonder.

I think if it were something really really
serious they are good. They do not
consider anxiety anything serious, mostly
silly. But it is a sickness that should
be treated with care too. Myself I am a
good nurse to all my patients. Sometimes
you get tired and irritable but you have
to set that aside and put the patient
first, put yourself in their position.

Yeah well, if the patient ends up killing
themselves or seriously disrupting their
work/school life because of the anxiety
symptoms, I don't think thats "silly" do
you?

My opinion, no one need agree. But I
find a lot of dr's very neglectful to
their patients, big things included.
Heart attack, sent me home. 22 episodes
in 5 days. 2 trips by abulance to
hospital. With abnormal heart rythum,
sent me home. With proof
severe spinal injury with lack of strength
throughout my whole body, spinal cord
compromise, ignored it all still no
surgery or anything. My perineal nerve
has no signal to my brain and my privates
went numb immedietly. Nothing. From
them. Nothing. All this with proof.
Still nothing.
Now I am pregnant inside my abdomen, no
uterus, and when the hcg didnt come
out(which is common in abdominal preg)
they sent me home, no ultra sound or
anything, and my stomach looks like it
will explode anyday.
Very high risk, and sent home. Even if
it wasnt a baby, my abdomen swollen like
this, very serious condition. Need some
medical attention. Now 27 weeks, just
now got ultra sound ordered for tuesday.
My story, my opinion.
