Its all not that bad really.... I had it done twice going back in for my third in febuary. After of cource you will have pain but you have to understand you just went under for surgury. You was cut opened and had a cam inside lookin around in your abdomen. After about 3 days you will be fine. May I ask for what reason are you havin this done for. I had my first lap at age 16 then just 5 months ago. And with my second one they found endometriosis, fibriods, and a tubal cysts.

I know it is hard to get good advice and support. I found a place called the endo center, also if you have yahoo there is a group called the erc. The group is great and I have gotten alot of support and great advice from the ladies there.
Maybe you all would like to check it out.

Www.Endocenter.Org or look for the erc in yahoo groups. I think that there may be a link to the ers group at the endo center website.

I hope this helps, and I am hear to listen if you need me.

My doctor believes that is what I have, but I have not had a lap done. He started me on bc, and I have started my period I think I hurt worse on it than I did when I was not taking it.

I guess I could use a little advice as what to do for pain management, and how to dicuss things with my Dr.

I was just told to take neurofen plus I dont know if you would have that there but you can get it from the chemist but its usually behind the counter here you dont need a prescription I take ir 48 hours before my period and during my period its hepled me alot it doesn't totally take away the pain but it did help alot try a heat pack not just a hot water bottle but a whaet or rice heat pack they help alot espesially when sleeping, i'd also ask your doctor about what he/she thinks is best for you.

Laps

I have been diagnosed with endo for 8 years. When you go in for your lap find out if the doc will preform laser ablation if he finds any. Some docs will and some will only do the lap if that is what is scheduled. Have socks...It gets cold in there. Some women have a lot of pain when they come to and some don't. Don't be afraid to tell nurse if you are in a lot of pain. Stand up for yourself!!

Another great forum site is www.Obgyn.Net

a lot of people posting and answering every day. A lot of times within minutes. Hope all goes well for you.

I have my gyno check up on the 2nd so i'll let you all know how that all goes. Take care
