Q: Chest Xray And Pregnancy

Question I just found out I am pregnant last week. Without preparing or knowing it, I had done many things before or after the pregnancy:

11/12/03 chest xray
11/17/03 first day of last period
12/5/03 annual check
12/6/03 christmas party, drank half inch of wine
12/13/03 party at a friend's house, drank an inch of wine
12/18/03 pregnancy test positive

i guess it was 2-3 weeks after the xray that I got pregnant. Is it going to have some negative effect on the baby?

I usually don't drink at all. These were the only times that I drank during the whole year. How bad is the alcohol to the baby?

Thanks for any response.

Congratulations on being pregnant! About the x-ray, im not too sure what to say because you had it done before you took the pregnancy test...If you were pregnant when it was taken, i'm sure it won't pose as a huge threat to your baby....Especially since the x-ray wasn't directed towards your abdomen area...As for the alcohol, I doubt that will make any difference because of the amount that was consumed...But I would def. Get in to see your dr so you can get checked out...Best of luck!

I have heard that any alcohol consumed this early in pregnancy will have no affect on your baby. As for the x-ray, it would depend on whether or not you were pregnant when it happened. Get in and see your Dr. And they can reassure you about all of it.

Congrats
