Hi. I have had pain by my left shoulder
blade now for months, and the doctors keep
giving me antacids. Sometimes this pain
in there for days. I have trouble keeping
food down sometimes, and have always been
able to regurgitate my food since I was
young, but only certain foods, and now
its getting worse and worse. I feel like
i'm having alot of trouble digesting my
food, and the pain just keeps coming back,
and I just can't keep food down, and am
very uncomfortable after eating. I feel
like nothing is digesting, and the pain in
my shoulder blade is getting worse an
worse.
Has anyone any advise on what it could be.
Can I do anything to help the pain?

Regurgitating your food needs to be
explored. Why do you do this?
Start thinking about that and then your
pain in left shoulder could be due to
several things. Do you have bad posture?
You could have a pinched nerve, and you
will more thna likely know that is what it
is if you take ibuprophen ( advil) and it
goes away for a couple of days and comes
back. Is the pain a shooting pain or dull
pain? The main thing is that you don't
panic. More than likely it is minor and
is treatable. Finally, try exercises.
Each morning get up and roll shoulders
forward and back. Try a morning workout.
Good luck

Thanks!!
I've just always had problems digesting
food, mostly regurgitating isn't forceful,
it happens easily, and not done purposely.
It feels like it takes ages for certain
foods to go down. And the pain started
in my chest ages ago, after eating, and
has since moved to my left shoulder blade,
and flares up after eating, and sometimes
stays for ages. Its not muscular, its
really hard to explain.

Doctors can't see inside of you. Have you
had any tests like ct scan, ultrasound or
endoscopy?

Sounds as if you have a hiatal hernia. I
have one. I will have bad pain in my
chest that makes you sometimes feel like
you are having a heart attack. But when
eating alot of times the food just feels
like it gets stuck and I have a hard time
swallowing and the food is just hung! You
should be able to request an upper gi to
find out if you have one. I have also had
my gallbadder removed after 15 yrs of
being sick with right side pain. I had
multiple test on it for years! Even had
exploritory surgery for the dr to say that
my gallbladder was perfectly normal only
to go the er the next yr for thinking I
had a kidney stone on the left side and
had a cat scan only to find that I had
gallstones...Thousands.... My gallbladder
was only the size of a softball!!!! And
now after 4 yrs of having my gallbladder
out I am having horrible right side pain
again after eating..... I really feel for
you. I went along time before anyone
diagnosed me. Now I feel like I am back
on the dr rollercoaster. Feel better!!!

Thanks so much for that. I really do want
to get this sorted now and get my eating
life back on track, and just be able to
enjoy a good meal instead of dreading it.
I'm tired of having this pain by my left
shoulder blade!! Thanks

Chances are that you might also have
reflux too. Kind of seems that they
sometimes go hand in hand as I have found.
But do some research on reflux and hiatal
hernia. You will want to stay away from
certain foods if that is what you might
have. Spicy, caffine...Etc. There are a
bunch. Makes me sometimes wonder if there
is anything I can eat!Lol but you really
should see a dr and have a few test to
make things more clear in your mind and
especially to begin to change your eating
habits or what not. Good luck!
