Rf Ablation For Cancer Treatment?

I've just been diagnosed with renal cell carcinoma (ct on christmas eve) and called by doctor on day after christmas. Bummer!

Has anyone had a cancer treated by rf ablation? It is a newer technique used since 2000 or so.

I'm considering it but would like some info on side effects and recovery.
