Getting Pregnant On Birth Control

Have any of you gotten pregnant while on
birth control? If so, when is the most
risky time to have sex while being on
birth control? I would like to plan on
not having it then as I do not want a baby
anytime soon!
Please respond!

I haven't had this one... But my cousin
was on bc when she got pregnant. She was
taking anitbotics & that's when she
got pregnant. Just make sure you follow
the rules of bc, & if your unsure, use
protection. (sorry about the spelling) :)

I used the depo shot for 5 years and pills
for for 13 years but it wasnt unitl I used
the patch that I got pregnant. I did not
evenake the pill right half the time. I
was 2 months pregnant before I found out.
I also have met other women 5 of them that
hace gotten pregnant on the patch,,,,my
recommendation---dont use the patch!!!!

Just don't miss any pills! I stopped my
pills on a sunday, concieved the following
monday. If you take bc pills properly,
the chances are extrememly low. Hope that
helps!

I am worried about the same thing. I am
on ortho tri cyclen lo, and was using
keflex. I forgot to use anything form of
birth control and forgot about it until I
started to spot. I spotted for 2 weeks,
than it stopped. I was not worried until
I got nausea yesterday. My symptoms are:
the nausea.
I have been having what I called muscle
spasms in my lower abdomen. Plus I have a
loss of appetite. I thought that you had
an increase of appetite.
I am tired, but I think that is because
our little girl was up all night.
I was constipated, than I have been having
diarreha.
My boobs are not really sore they just
feel heavy.
Anyone have any advice for me. I would
be excited, but we wanted to wait one more
year.

did you miss pills? Or did you stop
taking them? What is kelflex? Your
symptoms sound like pregnancy symptoms but
they could also be bc pill symptoms if you
recently started taking them.

Keflex is an antibiotic, right? You
could've gotten pg cuz of this.
Sounds like you have quite a few symptoms.
Have you stopped taking the pills since
you suspected you were pg?

thank you for your posts. I have not
been worried until I started to have these
symptoms. Yes keflex is an antibiotic
and no I did not miss any pills. The
bleeding is so light that I only used a
pantyliner, but it is not implantation.
Yes I have continued to take the pills,
cause I was not worried until yesterday.
When should I test?
Thank you so much for your answers. My
husband is really no help when it comes to
this stuff....

Amy-
i would say that you are probably not
pregnant. I was on anitbiotics a few
months ago while on the pill and was
worried too. I researched online and
found conflicting information about
anitbiotics and birth contol pills. On
average I found that it is very rare to
get pregnant while on antibiotics. But,
to ease your mind I would still take a
test! Let us know what happens.

I agree, go ahead & take a test.
That's the only way you'll know for sure.
And then if the symptoms persist, I would
go get a blood test from your dr or local
health dept.
Let us know either way!

condoms...My advice...Protection isn't

Oh yeah, I forgot, I know a girl who got
pregnant when her baby was 5 months old,
and she was using the pill, condoms, and
nursing!!!!!
Figure that one out!!!

Yeppers, I got pregnant on the iud, I had
to abort as it was in the fetutus' head
and the dr told ne that it was the best
thing and then I got kicked in the stomach
at 5 1/2 months with cowboy boots on, the
dr insisted I have another abortion I then
had another abortion from a condom and
pills, after giving up and trying to get
pregnant after divorcing the two idiots I
got pregnant with two beautiful children,
they are grown and and have their own
lives now, and are doing very well now.

i took a test lastnight and it came out
neg. It was somewhat of a relief, but we
would have been excited. I am going to
be more careful when taking antibiotics.

What year was this that you got pregnant
with an iud in?
I've heard several women on here saying
this, but if it was in the 70's or 80's,
then that makes sense...But if it was just
recently I don't see how that is possible.
They are supposed to be as effective as
sterilization!!!
