Stretch Marks Vs. Tanning Beds
Posted: 01-04-06 16:05pm

I had a baby not to long ago and i've been using a cream for my stretch marks there not bad by the way, they are getting lighter, and i've been wanting to go to the tanning beds to get a tan but i'm worried that if I go that my marks will get dark again? Is that possible? And should I or shouldn't I go, since there still lightly there? Any one?

Sorry, I don't have any advice but I would also like advice on this! I heard two different things 1-they make your marks stand out more or 2-they make them blend in....So which is it?? I have bad stretch marks on my hips!

girl, I do to, are you using that barmons cream? It works good, I really like it, i'm on my second tube, it's not alot just 25 dollars a tube but anyways, noone is helping us with this question lol that sucks, maybe I should as a doctor or something, I haven't heard anything about if it will make them worse, or if they will make them blend together, but hopefully somebody knows... I would think it would make them worse though cuz when you go tanning it darkens your skin and freckles so maybe it will do that to it to, but I hope not.

I have heard that tanning beds do not help because the stretch marks won't tan like the rest of your skin, so they may stand out more. However, I have also heard that sunless tanning lotions can help them blend in.

Where can you get the barmons cream at because I have bad stretch marks on my hips, and my legs. I use that palmers crap but it dont work all that well. It made them a little brighter and smaller but that was it. I know that their not going to go away permanetly unless I do some laser stuff but it sounds like the cream really helps you and maybe it could help me too?! Thanks :d

You may want to ask the suntan bed people themselves - i'm sure they will know the answer.

Have you thought about trying a spray tan, cos this would conceal the stretch marks more I think.

its "http://www.Barmon.Com/" and check out the pictures on there, it does work really good. It takes like 3 weeks for it to come in though (feels like forever) but it's worth it, let me know how it all goes and good luck with that!!

i have tried asking the people that work at the tanning place, and they have no idea, I have tried the spray on but I dont like the streaking and the smell... But I guess that's what i'm gonna have to use for a while... Thanks for the reply!!

I have quite a bit of stretchmarks and i've found that going to a tanning bed helps them blend in. It may just be me, but it's the best thing that has worked for me. I've tried mederma and palmer's, which didn't work for me. I'll definitely try this barmons cream. The tanning helped blend them in, even though they were still lightly there. Hope this helps! :-)

Go Tan!

I have strech marks that got as light as they could with cream and I noticed that direct sunlight brings out the marks but the tanning bed hides them the best that you can!!!!! It really works!!!!!! I would not show my self on the beach if it did not!!!!! :d :d :!: :d
