What Is 2nd Degree Av Block of the Heart Posted: 01-05-06 21:44pm
Hello. To make a long story short, I had
a surgery and was told I had an arrythia
(sp) and then and ekg was done and they
told me I was fine and not to worry about
it. However on my followup appt with the
surgeon, I questioned this and he just
told me to go to my doctor, as he looked
at the anesthesialogists notes and told me
I have a 2nd degree av heart block and the
ekg showed frequest extra heart beats. I
am terrified as to what all of this means.
Also, if it was so bad, why didnt they
tell me when leaving the hospital that
something was wrong with me? Please
respond, I am deathly scared. I am 35
and have 4 children and am scared I am
gong to die. Thank you.
