Ok, here is my situation, and I need to
know how to approach my doctor.
A few weeks ago, I began having bad
abdominal pain. I first thought it was my
stomach, like an ulcer or something. I
vomited so much I vomited blood, couldnt
keep enough fluids down, so the doctor
admitted me to the hospital. They
rehydrated me, gave me acid reducers
through my iv and stuck a tube down my
throat. Everything was normal, did a
biopsy on my stomach lining, which was
normal. Soon, the pain radiated to my
right side. So, before I left the
hospital they did an ultrasound of my gb,
which they say was normal.
A week later I went back to the doctor.
The nausea was still there, but not as
bad, but the pain was worse! When she did
an exam, she pressed on my right side,
below my ribs and I nearly jumped off the
table! She said that was "positive
murphy's sign" and reccomended a hida
scan. The scan (according to the tech)
was "normal" and I was going to see high
numbers (ejection?) because my gallbladder
took up the tracer perfect, and eliminated
most of the tracer by the end of the 30
minute cck drip. It still hurt. The pain
radiates into my back, and between my
shoulder blades. I am so worried that
this is going to be considered "normal"
test and they are going to dismiss me. My
question is this. Just because it
functions "normally", who are they to
judge, that when it does "work" and
contract that it isnt' painful? I have
been on vicodin for like 3 weeks now, and
I dont want to continue to be on it, and
dont know if the doctor will continue to
give it to me with "normal" tests. What
could be wrong? Will they consider taking
it out just based on the fact that it's
painful? What could all this mean? Any
suggestions/experience would be greatly
appreciated. Please email me at lovem
y02boys@yahoo.Com.
Thank you!

Hi k... My tests were all normal... Even
my hida was 39%... Go to another doc if
you have to... So many are given the
runaround.. It's really sad... I was
very sick... Gb out last march and I feel
great!

I would not dive into surgery so quickly.
I think you need to do some research first
and then come to your own conclusion. I
had really bad acid build up in tummy and
it happened twice and I have had to see
two surgeons. Both of them were looking
at me with a quizative eye. Then very
unsurely suggested surgery. They told me
to do it immediately and do not even think
about what was going to happen the day of
the surgery. Well, I scheduled and they
rolled me into the op room. I had a
panic attack and screamed violently at
both of them . One had a 12inch butcher
knife in his hand and started to wave it
around wickedly laughing at me!!! I was
nude and totally in the bar ebuff when I
quickly hustled out into the parking lot.
I fell and scraped my knee. I had two
guys on the side of the road running for
me ( I think they planned to do
something!!!) I was able to get into my
car and had to deal with unbearable
situation of having each person stare
everytime I came to a stop light. There
were 25 stop lights mind you...
Just think about this first...;0

See, you should have just left it alone.
This person has been running around here
making up ridiculous stories as a plea for
attention. Ignore it and it goes away.
Feed it and it continues.
Obviously it's a load of crap. Next
time, just ignore it.
