Living Without a Tmj
Posted: 01-06-06 07:45am

Hi,

i would really like to hear from anybody who has had a tmj removed and is now living without this joint. I had a rib graft and titanium joint fitted, both unsuccessful. So at the moment I have no left tmj and am finding it difficult and painful to live with. Simple things like eating, talking for any length of time are a nightmare. I would like to speak to someone who is is in the same position, and if anyone knows what the way forward would be as my surgeon is unwilling to discuss any further procedures until the scar tissue has healed. I have had 3 operations so far most recent being end september 2005.

Thanks
sammi from scotland

Just read your post. I have chatted with at least 2 people who are now living with no joints and one of them is fine and in no pain. She has had a lot of surgery and to see photos of her now youd think that there was nothing wrong with her.Unfortunatley I cant give out other web site tmj forums on this one but keep looking there are some. The people im talking about are from the us I know of none from the uk. If your ever down, I know i, am just send me a private email, take care judy.
