Q: Why Does Everyone Want An Opinion On Being Pregnant?

Don't get me wrong, i'm not angry or anything. I just genuinely would like to know why a lot of women come here asking if everyone "thinks" that they are pregnant. They are asking for an opinion which to me is ridiculous. They obviously researched the symptoms because some of their listings could have been read word for word from a pregnancy book. I can't honestly say that I don't believe that some of these people didn't look up the symptoms and then come here and post them word for word, because I mean I know quite a few people with difficult pregnancies and not a one of them is having all those symptoms at the same time, and some of the symptoms it's just a little too early to have... Any way the point that I was going to make before my incredulity got the better of me was this; take a pregnancy test. :?

I could not agree with you more tigresacanela. This forum is meant for people to come ask questions that they might not feel comfortable asking a doctor or their family...And they end up getting bi***d out anyways.

I come here asking questions to see if any one else has had the same thing. You have your thoughts & I have mine........... That doesn't mean i'm going to go around stating that anyone not wanting to read "am I pregnant" to go some where else.. Its not my place... I just like to hear everyones imputs on my situation.

Wow...I think that the hormone level on this post is waaay to high. Tigresacanela24 is completely correct. I mean come on. People haven't even missed a period and they're talking about heartburn?!?! It's just not logical. A person doesn't get heartburn until your stomach is forced upward by your uterus. And we all know that doesn't happen overnight. It those types of things that she's talking about.

I know that people are scared to talk to their doctor or parents about this situation, but be logical befor you come ask average people if you're pregnant. Who am I to say that your pregnant?! I am not qualified in any way to make that determination...I also believe that lifing someones hopes just ot have them slammed by reality is not fair.

These forums a yr ago were soooooooooo diff. We played games and told jokes and everyone was extremelly supportive. Some of us actually started anoter private forum and we all go there. There is about 25 of us that have become soooooooo close we're all like sisters. We chat online and on the phone, send gifts and plan on all getting together when we can. That's how this should be again. I became a mod to try and get it back to the way it was but there are certain people on here that just like to star sh*t.

I made that post "before asking..Am I pregnant" because none of us are a hpt and we got sick of being asked...Am I pregnant?

Amen lilblaze..It's ridiculous how people think that "looking" preggy qualifies you to be preggy....

I think that this forum could use a little growing up...(not everyone) just the immature ones who are playing russian roulette with their lives by having unprotected sex in promiscuious relationships.

Positivity is lacking in this forum...

that's the kind of thing that i'm talking about. Rainy1279 - i'm not saying for people to go somewhere else. All i'm saying is take an hpt. No one can tell someone over the internet whether or nor they are pregnant. I'm sorry when I wanted to find out whether or not I was pregnant I didn't jump online, I went to riteaid and bought an ept. I don't want to hear that there too expensive either because walmart has one for 3.50 that works.

What I think is going on is these are young girls not really sure what pregnancy symptoms are & are too afraid to ask their parents or a Dr. So leave them alone, and let them ask! Surely there is somebody out there willing to help these girls. I personally wouldn't get on here to ask if I could be pg...I would take a test...But that is just me. Some girls may be more comfortable asking other people's opinions, especially if it's their first pregnancy!

Im sorry if I make anyone angry by posting this but I just have to get this out. I was under the impression that these boards were created to be a form of support for everyone. This means that people are free to post whatever they want, even stupid questions. People have the right to ask whatever they want for whatever reason they may have. That is why its called support. If you dont like what someone has posted then simply dont read it or dont respond to it. If you see something titled "am I pregnant?" dont read it, if it bothers you so much. Im sorry to be so blunt but I know that it probably makes people feel bad when they post something and get criticized for it.

I usually try to stay out of any "hot topics," but these days it seems that almost every post on here becomes one in some way, or another. So, based on that, I decided to put my two cents worth in on this.

I am relatively new to this board. I have really enjoyed reading the posts. However, I will say that the past couple of months have been more difficult to get through here. Mainly because the posts have been flooded with the "am I pregnant" questions from teens, and the whole debate on fatfamily.

I do not want to bash the young women posting here, but I got pregnant as a teen myself. As soon as I suspected I bought a hpt. To me that is just common sense. I didn't run to my computer to a message board to get strangers' opinions about my symptoms. Even if a possibly pregnant teen is too scared to buy a hpt on their own I would like to think they would at least have a friend go buy it for them. Again, it is common sense.

Yes, I can very well avoid reading these particular posts in question. I normally do so, but it does get to be a bit of a pain to have to screen through all of them that are flooding the screen to find the more logical ones. It seems by the time all the "am I pregnant" questions are posted, all the more logical posts have been pushed back onto the 2nd and 3rd pages, often getting overlooked.

Hey mods? Is there any way to move these "am I pregnant" posts to another forum where they belong? Such as pregnancy symptoms (exclusively), or teen pregnancy? This would help to clean up the general pregnancy forum.

Hey teach,

I completely agree move the "am I pregnant to another board." hey lil you think you can work with this one I think it would be fair to everyone so no one is left out but then we can actually help people. Im really tired of seeing am I pregnant posts when I first came her it wasnt that bad there was the odd one here and there but how many times can someone tell you take a hpt(home pregnancy test) or blood test it is the only way to find out.

Wish you gals luck!
Jess

Ever hear of someone who wants to be pregnant really bad and causes themselves to have symptoms? My cousin thought she was pregnant and her breast started to leak.. I dont see why, people on here, have to post about other people's questions on here. It's there questions, their curious, and they want answers. If someone has another problem with the question, ignore it.. I dont see what is so hard about it? It's about pregnancy, asking if thier pregnant..Asking about symptoms..Not im not trying to be a health forum but come on. This is about pregnancy, and not about other people's questions on how "stupid" it is to post it. See, here is a tip...Dont like the question...Dont answer it, and ignore it. There curious, and want to know. A teenager may be having sex.. She may not know all the stuff about the pregnancy symptoms.. Some women have periods when there pregnant, and anyone can come on here and ask for advice about it.. They would like to know if it is possible, so they come on here and ask for advice.. What are they suppose to do.. "hey mommy, do you think I can get pregnant from... " ahh.. No. They want some people's answers on here. So again...Ignore the question. Damn.

Whoa. Kelly thank you. Lol. I can on this site asking about if im pregnant, and the symptoms were a bit to early, and some girls do get them as soon as a week, sooo yeah. I thought it was about pregnancy too, but I guess it's about other people's questions. Hmm?Dont see why anyone would like to post about questions like that, it's stupid. But hey, I ignore it. And if anyone had a question about thier symptoms, I would glady tell them, since to alot of people "it's annoying"
