I had unprotected sex with my boyfriend
several times during my fertile period,
because we are trying to concieve. However
I was wondering if very strenuous exercise
such as dancing in a parade or carnival
can cause a miscarriage. I participated in
a cultural morning parade where I did a
lot of dancing and today (the day after) I
have my period, a whole week early. I
never took a hpt because it would have
been too soon to tell but any sort of
advice or answers as to what the problem
might be, will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot in advance.

You cannot have a miscarriage if you were
not previously pregnant. Further, having
sex during your "fertile period" is not a
guarantee that you will conceive. Also,
getting your period earlier than expected
may not mean that you have miscarried; it
could mean that you have an irregular
cycle. If you have been trying to conceive
for more than a year, you and your partner
can ask for medical help. Finally,
dancing in a parade (or other strenuous
exercise) can’t cause
miscarriage-assuming you were pregnant at
the time, of course.
