Why Can't I Get Pregant?
Posted: 01-08-06 03:09am

Hello all!
My boyfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant for a good year! I don't know why I havn't been able to get pregnant yet! It's really difficult every month when I think I could be, but then i'm not. I need some help, and some moral support. Sometimes I just want to cry thinking maybe I cant have children. I have been pregnant once before when I was 17, and was forced into abortion:( since I have been with my boyfriend, I don't know if I feel I need to make up for our first baby, or if I really want one. Either way I have not become pregnant yet. Please - any encouraging words, or advice.

Thanks

I'm Here For Ya!

I am in the same boat with ya (sorta). I've never been pregnant. But I was married about 3 years ago & we tried, but I could never get pregnant. Now my boyfriend & I want to have a baby, so I stopped taking bc about 6 months ago & have been taking folic acid & prenat. Vit. But for some reason it hasn't happened yet. Since i'm off my bc I really don't have a regular period... For a couple of months I will.. Then I will be "late" according to my dates.. & I get excited just for my period to come... Then this past time I started having sore breast, so I got to thinkin maybe its happening this month... But no... Its a new thing i'm going to get every month now to go along with the cramps & headache...I understand how you feel every month not being pregnant...So i'm here for you...
So are you wanting to get pregnant? I would be happy to share thoughts with ya... :)

Yeah I really do want to get pregnant! I have been waiting for so long, and I don't see the problem. There is nothing wrong with me acoording to the doc. How about you? Do you really want it bad, or are you still kind of in between?

I really want a bundle of joy..& I too am afraid that I can't get pregnant... But all signs say that I can ... I don't know... I hate not knowing. Everyone says don't worry about it, your time will come..But its always the people that already have kids. I guess what i'm saying is that I know how you feel.. Just want you to know your not alone. :)

It's nice to know that someone else is going through the same thing. I wish you so much luck! I hope that it happens for you soon. I also hear that from everyone else, and it is usually the friends of mine that have kids. They are always saying don't rush, its so much stress. Well all I can say is you wouldn't feel that way if you were in my shoes. If you wanted a baby so bad and kept getting your period. It's also so hard to see people who don't even want to get pregnant - get pregnant. They're mad about it, while I crying inside because it's not me. I would love to keep in touch with you while we go through this together.

Just a little advice that I gave my brother and his wife. Stress is a huge factor....It can effect your body in so many ways, most of the changes you will not even notice. My husband and I tried to conceive for 2 years with no luck, when we finally decided to stop trying so hard and go on with our lives (so to speak) that is when I got pregnant. I actually had made an appt. To get on birth control at the end of dec, I got a bfp two weeks before that appt.
My daughter is now three years old, and she is well worth all the waiting we had to go through. So I say relax and keep trying when the time is right you will be blessed.

Baby dust to you all!

I appreciate that. I am trying to stop stressing about it, it just gets difficult at times. I know god will bless me when the time is right, I just keep hoping every month that the time is right! Lol!!!! It will be a huge step , and I can't wait for that day that it happens for me.

Send all the baby dust you can! Lol :)

I just wanted to let you know that I was not trying to down play your feelings, I know how it feels to want a baby. I did not want you to think that I was saying just get over it, because it is surely not that easy!

I am sending all the baby dust I can to you :d

best wishes, and I am here if you ever need someone to talk to.

It's just going to be a continuous cycle here. Trying every month, and hoping not to fail. So marissa - do you have any kids now? I know rainy and I are in the same boat:)
