Are they sure it was gastritis? Did they check her gall bladder for stones?

When I was a kid I had gastritis really bad, so I know how it feels and when I was 7 months pregnant I had what appeared to be that. I went to the hospital and they did an u/s and the baby was ok, so they sent me home and told me to take pepto bismol. 3 months after I had my baby, the pain came back. I went to the hospital and they sent me for an u/s and found gall stones.
The nurse there told me it's becoming more common after a mother has kids, that gall stones start to develop.

Where is the pain located at?
