I just wanted to know how common is it to
miscarry in the second trimester? I have
had two ulta sounds done, one at 8 weeks
and one at 12 weeks. Heartbeat was good
and strong at those times.
I am suffering from real anxiety about
losing my baby. I am today 14 weeks, one
day.

Miscarriage occurs in 10-15% of all
pregnancies. They happen more often in the
first trimester and more rarely in the
second trimester (2-3%). You didn’t tell
my anything that makes me believe that you
could miscarriage during your pregnancy,
except that you are aware of an increasing
anxiety. Don’t worry; just go to regular
check-ups with your obstetrician.
