i am 22 years old, I live in england, im
having half of my left big toenail removed
on the 18th of january, I suffer from
anxiety and this is worrying me alot, im
losing sleep.
What worries me most is there puting me to
sleep to do it, so a needle in the hand or
arm! Im scared of needles! There also
puting acid on the roots, so that, that
half of the nail does not grow back, how
bad will that hurt?
Does having the needle inserted to put you
to sleep hurt? I dont do pain and im
freaking out.
Thanks

Don't worry, being under anesthesia isn't
bad at all. I would much rather be
completely asleep than just have a local
anesthetic.
The needle doesn't hurt. Basically, as
soon as they put it in and get the
medicine running, you'll be asleep. If
they haven't already offered, ask them to
give you something to help you relax
before you come in for the procedure.
When I had my wisdom teeth taken out, they
gave me a pill to take at home beforehand
(i think it might have been valium), and I
was sooooo relaxed by the time I got to
the office that I didn't even care. More
than likely, they will give you pain
medicine to take home so the recovery
won't be as painful.
