Hi, i'm 18 years old and yesterday my best friend came over and told me that she might be pregnant, she's scared because her ex boyfriend isn't too reliable and money is really an issue for her. Also her parents are extremely strict so she's really scared to even mention it to them. I already told her that I am there for her so we looked up some symptoms online and she has a few of them. I'm just wondering if she is only about 2 or 3 weeks pregnant can a blood test be efficient? We already went and bought a home pregnancy test and it was negative but it might be to early...I don't know how or what to do... Should she wait a month and then try again? She doesn't want to go to her family doctor on the off chance that one of her family members may be there. Can we get a blood test done at a hospital in ontario? The only problem is if she should wait i'm scared that she will be really worried and stressed the whole time and if she is pregnant then it's not good for the growing fetus, right? Just need some advice to give her... Thanks from a worried friend.
