Hysterectomy But Pregnant Posted: 01-12-06 21:32pm
I am scheduled to have a hysterectomy in 3
weeks but I just took a home pregnancy
test and it was postitive. I have an 18
month old and a 7 year old and I was
finished having children. There were
complications with my last child and my
husband and I decided that we were
finished. I have a prolapsed uterous and
endometriosis which has caused pain on a
daily basis. What should I do???? Any
advice???

First of all i'd get the test confirmed by
your doctor or gyn.
Are you on any treatments/meds that
contain hormones for the endo?
Did you think you might be pregnant?
Then it comes down to you.
If you are pregnant do you want this child
even?
You can go ahead with the hyst if you
don't want the pregnancy or you can
re-schedule the hyst to be done at the
time of the birth if you'd rather.
Best thing is to discuss your options with
your doctor.

If .God has given you a baby--when you
thought you were finished, it is a miracle
and will be the biggest and best gift you
have ever received. Of course, I would
keep it. It is a blessing and possibly
the biggest blessing you will ever
receive.

Ok, if you have endometriosis, and you
have prolasped uterus, did you inform your
doctor that you found out you were
pregnant?
