Morning After Pill Question Posted: 01-14-06 11:55am
Hi
quck question before I go into my story
what does the morning after pill actually
do...?
I am 20 years old
here is my story... My boyfriend
ejaculated in me and the next night I took
the morning after pill.. Did not feel all
to well but got through it and there was
some bleeding..
2 days later we had sex and he ejaculated
inside me again..... The question I have
is this.. Would I become pregnant or were
my eggs destroyed when I took the after
pill... Please let me know as I am not
ready for a baby and really dont want to
go through an abortion...
I am not on the contraceptive pill
thanks for your help and any advise would
be appreciated

Ok. First, you say that you're not ready
for a baby or to have to go through an
abortion. Then, you say that you're not
on any birth control.
And... You let your boyfriend ejaculate
in you? Why am I lost? Not only did
you take the morning after pill after a
slip up, but then you did it again? You
need to seriously consider getting on a
regular form of birth control.
Now, in answer to your question, the
morning after pill is supposed to prevent
the egg from implanting, therefore,
preventing pregnancy. But you have to
understand that the morning after pill is
not 100% effective!!! (just ask me, I
know) i've never heard of bleeding after
taking the morning after pill, I may have
to research that online. I could be
mistaken.
Has it been long enough for you to take an
hpt? I'd say about 3 weeks or so and a
first response will do the trick. If
you're questioning anything, go to the
doctor and have a blood test for a truly
accurate answer. Please be more careful
and don't rely on something that you have
absolutely no idea whether it will work or
not.

why would a person not bleed, egg
implants you get no period for 9 months.
Egg does not implant; any given month,
and you get your period.
I understand what you are saying, if you
got pregnant on your ovulation, it would
still be 2 weeks before your period is
due. The morning after pill has to be
used within 72 hours, so you still should
not bleed for 1 week 4 days, when period
is due. Right?

Hi
thanks for the replies
i will be going on the pill once this is
all sorted and over... Hope my period
comes
finer details..
Do you think that when I took the after
pill on tuesday that it would have covered
me for the sex I had on the thursday?
I am not sure if I should wait and see if
my period starts this friday.. If it does
not then I will be in trouble... Also, is
it maybe worth me taking the morning after
pill again this sunday evening as bythen
the 72 hours from thursdays sex would be
close...
