Yes you can have periods while being pregnant...Most women if they do have periods they are in the first months of pregnancy...There is also something else that can happen during pregnancy ..Its called implantation bleeding ..Sometimes it can be like a period other times its just small amounts of brown/pink discharge...And some women have it for a short time others have it throughout pregnancy off/on
but you should always call your doctor ..If you are pregnant and bleeding ...

Thanks for that. Another question - when you are pregnant, is it possible to put on weight without actually looking pregnant????? Ie without the swollen baby tummy?

Yes, I gained alot of weight with my pregnancy and alot of it was my body retaining fluid...
