This was a big worry to me as my mom got stretch marks when she had me. I did a lot of reading on the web and cross referenced ingredinets that I found some good information on. I found a product called soft-e-lotion. I used it early on in my first tri-mest and through the pregnancy and did not get any stretch marks. I hope this helps some of you as I have frineds that have gone through hard times with stretch marks.

Another Tip For Stretch Marks!
Cocoa butter is great too for stretch marks whether you put it on before or after your pregnancy. I had a 8 1/2 lbs. Baby and had those ugly purple stretch marks and I was one to make sure I got back into shape after the baby. I used the cocoa butter stick by "queen helen's" daily after my shower and even though I didn't get back into shape Sad , I only have one visible mark on my side (just to be remembered about how big he was!).

Cocoa Butter
I could not find any cocoa lotion with high amounts of vitamin e in it though. I actually bought the soft-e-lotion and added some cocoa butter lotion and some victoria secret spray for sent to it Smile loved it!

No matter what you do, if you are meant to get stretch marks, you will. It is all about the elasticity in your skin personally.
But, it is always worth trying to prevent! You can buy plain vitamin e oil. You can get it even at wal-mart and it is only like one dollar. If you put that on once or twice a day, it is very effective. You can also use it to get rid of scars that you already have. Very cheap and effective. Or you could buy cocoa butter (they also have at wal-mart for one dollar) and mix in the vitamin e oil. Very cheap!

I didn't know they sold pure vitamin e oil! I always bought vitamin e supplement pills and popped them open with a pin! I feel so dumb! Yeah, but i'm 14 weeks pregnant and using cocoa butter lotion everyday!

Oh, don't feel dumb. I went to walmart a couple of years ago and asked for vitamin e capsules. She asked me what I needed them for, and I told her I needed to break them open and put on my scar. She said, "um, why don't you just buy oil then?" duh,....I didn't know either! It is in the aisle with all of the herbs and vitamins and stuff. I will look at mine if I can find it and give you the brand name.

Lotion
The soft-e-lotion I used actually had more vitamin e than a bottle of supplements. Supposidly it has more than 5% by weight natural vitamin e in it.
