my husband is 50 has been sick 8 days had
fever 101 has gone down severe coughing no
phlem cant ly down has to sit up in chair
to sleep has pain in right side going to
the back. He just keeps coughing with a
few minute breaks then it starts up again
and it wont stop. What can this be?

Coughing without phlem is usually the
result of pharingitis but your husband's
chest pain has to be checked. An
auscultation, ECG and X-ray of the chest
can be requested to this end.
