Abnormal Menstrual Cessation, Possible Indicators, and Follo Posted: 01-16-06 11:24am
What does it mean when your period stops
and starts in the middle of a cycle.
My period started on Thursday afternoon,
by Saturday afternoon it was over but then
started again Sunday afternoon and by the
evening of Sunday it was gone again and
its still gone as of now Monday morning!
Could I be pregnant even though I still
got my period or could I have
miscarried???

Abnormal menstruation is a sign of
hormonal imbalance or possible
miscarriage. You can solve this mystery
only by performing a pregnancy test. If
you are pregnant, the vaginal bleeding was
probably a sign of miscarriage. If you are
not pregnant, vaginal bleeding is most
likely your period (untypical, but still a
period). I could give you more precise
information if you gave me the date of
your last NORMAL menstruation (before this
bleeding). Further, you can consult a
gynecologist to discuss the latest
irregular period and your menstrual
history.
