Risks of Pregnancy In the First Month of Using Oral Concepti Posted: 01-17-06 12:33pm
Teen pregnancy
question: hi, my girlfriend and I have
been having sexual intercourse for the
past few months, shes 19 years old. Shes
just recently on the combination pill for
2 weeks and she started from the day her
period started. We had sex with a condom
and removed the condom, but after an hour
I got erect again and she inserted my
penis into her. I quickly removed it
after a while and popped on another
condom.
Just worried of the risk of pregnancy due
to any residue semen on the penis. Look
forward to replies, thanks.
Pregnancy can occur at any time during the
menstrual cycle. The risk of getting
pregnant in this case is very small(almost
zero) because your girlfriend was also
using oral contraception, which is one of
the most efficient method for birth
control. However, if she has just started
taking the oral conception, it is
important to know that the pill begins to
become effective AFTER THE FIRST FULL
MONTH of oral consumption. SHE MUST TAKE
THE PILL REGULARLY FOR IT TO BE EFFECTIVE
(not miss a day). Additionally, it sounds
as if you had sex at the beginning of her
fertility cycle (just after the period)
Finally, spermatozoids are present in the
head of a penis (about 10,000) so that if
you enter her vagina without a condom, it
is possible that she becomes pregnant.
