I often get palpatations. Some feel like my heart skips beats some feel like I feel faint just for a second and it feels like it takes my breath away just for a second also. Been to the cardiologist and he put me on an event monitor and the palpatation that takes my breath away and I feel faint just for a second wouldn't you know it didn't happen. He said I have pvc's can this cause the faint feeling and the like you want to catch your breath for a second? This is a horrible feeing also I feel my heart beat fast for a second or two awful feeling. Do any of you ever have these feelings?. Please help.

Thank you pam

Heart Palpatations

Hi - I know what you mean about it being scary. I'm going through the same thing right now. I have had an ekg and a holter monitor for 24 hours. The ekg was okay and I don't have the results ofthe holter monitor. It seems my heart skips a beat and then pounds real hard 2 times every 40 beats or so. It's been going on for 6 days now. It could be anxiety, it could be my thyroid (i'm hypothyroid). I'm not sure, but I intend to find something out, i'd hate to live with this the rest of my life. I've had palps before, but they only would happen occasionally and not all day long like right now. It is terrifying to live like this!! Let me know what you have found out and i'll do the same.
