The Diagnosis of Skin Abnormalities and Possible HPV Infecti Posted: 01-18-06 14:06pm
I have recently noticed small pinkish
bumps right along my beltline on my
stomach just above and slightly into my
pubic hair. At first i thought they might
be pimples, they have that appearance, but
on closer inspection Im sure theyre not. I
am curious if this could be HPV? or some
other std? Ive read a volume of
information since I noticed the bumps, but
wanted to know if it was possible to have
HPV and have it appear not on your
genitals? Any suggestions?

There are many types of HPV. Some if them
affect the skin (on any location), and
others affect the ano-genital mucosa
(vulva, vagina, cervix, penis head, and
anus). HPV is transmitted by direct
contact (touch, sexual) with an affected
person and by automatic spreading
(autoinoculation). You can visit a
dermatovenerologist for an examination, a
diagnosis, and possible treatment.
