i'm a 27 year old male and am a bit new to
this (and also a bit apprehensive about
posting here!). I'm looking for a bit of
advice....
When I was 13 a small portion of the skin
which connects the base of the head of the
penis to the body of the penis came away
from the head. This was of course only
noticeable when I pulled the foreskin back
to clean the area. It was non painful and
I decided at the time to leave as was.
Over the course of the last few years the
skin round the base of the head has pretty
much completely come away, however it is
still being held intact by the banjo
string at the back.
Whenever the penis is flaccid the head of
the penis sticks out a bit (kind of like a
mushroom though not quite so much!), again
non-painful. This is slightly pronounced
when erect but not painful.
Just recently however this has become a
bit more pronounced and it is starting to
become uncomfortable just this week. It
doesn't feel sore as such, there's this
sensation (almost like a dull ache) that I
feel round the glands occasionally, and
the skin around the glands and the banjo
skin is quite red and is slightly more
sore than it was before.
I'm unsure what to do - is there any way
to get the skin reattached to the head of
the penis and get it back to its usual
shape? I'm a bit embarrassed about seeing
my doc so thought I would try and get an
opinion here. I am also worried about
sexual intercourse and the effect this may
have - could I damage the penis
irrepairably?
Any opinions would be much appreciated.

You could very well damage the penis if
it's not taken care of. You should go
see your doctor.
