I have been in a committed relationship
for 3 years and have been taking birth
control pills just as long. My dr switch
my pills 3 times b/c of side effects, but
I have been on tri-levlen for 2 1/2 years.
Which I take at 9pm everynite. Well I
had my period on jan 4 2006 & it
lasted until jan 8 2006, but on monday jan
16 2006 I started felling very queasy
after I eat. Tuesday nite I felt so bad a
almost vomited, the following day in my
pysch 1101 class I could smell
strawberries and if drove me crazy trying
to figure out where it was coming from,
at the end of class I found out it was
from the lady on the other side of the
room. I have not missed any of my pills
at all! My period will not start until
feb 1. Could my queasy stomach be
unrelated or does it sound like a
unplanned pregnancy? Any response would
be helpful :p

It is possible that you could be pregnant,
nothing is 100% I became pregnant on birth
control pills, and did have an abortion
because I did not want to have a baby.
Normally it is very very unlikely to
become pregnant on pills unless you use
antibiotics, or saint johns wort, or anti
siezure medicines. Have you taken any of
those? A home pregnancy test most likely
would not show up positive (if you were
pregnant) until 3-4 days before your
period is due... Get an early pregnancy
test, or get an early blood test anytime
you want. You do have options if you fell
unready for a pregnancy at this time.

I do not take any other medicine, only the
birth control. Now my next question I
never even thought about until I read
another posting. Should I continue to
take my pills until I can take a home test
or should I go to a dr for a blood test?

Yes continue to take the pills, and get to
your doc for a blood test. If you are not
pregnant, then taking the pills
continuously will keep your body from
freaking out. Birth control pills are not
known to harm a fetus, if you wanetd to
have a baby.
