I am very concerned. I'll just start by
the begining. Last week, me and my
boyfriend had unprotected sex. He pulled
out just before he came. Afterwards, we
were very scared and I decided that I
should take the monring after pill.
Then, yesterday, we had sex and we used a
condom. After a while, it broke. He
emediately pulled back. Right after, we
followed the instructions on the box and
washed me with soap and water. I was
wondering about the chances of me being
pregnant and if the morning-after pill
might of had a word in it, if it could
have stopped me from getting pregnant. In
the packet of the e.C, they said you cant
restart taking the regular contraception
until the period comes around. I should
have my period in less than a week, if
that helps solve this problem... I'm sure
it wasn't too brilliant to have sex again
after all the worrying the week before.

well I dont think there is a really big
possibility of you being pregnant
considering he pulled out right afterward
the condom breaking..I would just see if
you miss your period..If you do wait a
couple days and take a hpt...If negative
and you still dont have a period I would
go to the doctor and get a blood
test...Just dont stress because that can
also make you miss your period..I very
seriously doubt you are pregnant though

Not Very Likely Posted: 01-21-06 10:20am
I had that problem too I got super scared
once that I was pregnant. My finace and
I were talking about me going on the pill
but hadnt yet. So I went and got the
morning after pill. Most morning after
pills arnt just one pill they are a full
pack that you take a few at first and then
somemore later. Its real birth control
just in a larger dosage. Even if it was
one pill it has to be in your system for
at least a day because sperm can live
inside of you for as long as 72 hours.
So bottom line is the pill should be in
your system for at least a day or two
after you take it. However since you had
sex after taking the pill there is always
a very very slim chance that you could get
pregnant but thats very unlikely. Just
go to the store and buy a pregnancy test
they usually come with two so that if it
ever happens again your prepared. I hope
everything turns out ok. Also you can go
to your local health dept. And get
yourself put on birth control pills free
of charge!

No Big Deal.... Posted: 01-24-06 09:16am
Its ok everyone makes a mistake, and yes
the day after pill works. One thing my
doctor told me about taking birth contorl,
is that you can start it on any giving
day, for example, tuesday-tuesday, you
don't have to wait for your period. The
other thing I wanted to let you know was
that if you have been on birth contorl for
some time now, it'll take you about 3-12
months before you can get pregnant, if you
stop taking them that is. Hope this was
helpful.
