I haven't seen any prenatal screening questions here; perhaps i'm in the wrong place. Here goes anyway... My wife has just received results from a first trimester (she's just started her second trimester) "ultrasceen," which tests nt, papp-a and free beta hcg... The first two were normal, but the beta hcg came back at 2.3 ... Any possible reasons (other that the obvious) for a high hcg level? Thanks!
