Mri Resluts: Vertebral Basilar System Found? Posted: 01-20-06 05:00am
Does anyone know what this means? What is
a vertebral basilar system? It showed up
on an mri I just recently had done.
I did an internet search but it keeps
coming up with strokes.
When they did this mri last week, I was
being tested for ms, but neuro said that
my mri was normal, however, when I did the
internet search I kept finding tia's or
strokes which have all the symptoms i'm
currently having- only they last more than
24 hrs...
I have not been referred to another dr by
my neuro.
But am wondering, is this serious? Do I
need to see another dr about this? My
neuro is just brushing this off...But I am
having major problems:
like memory probs, dizzyness, vertigo,
balance probs, speech probs, as well as
weakness and sudden "alzheimer moments".

hi there moon. I have no idea about this
condition. Have you tried researching
the interweb? Like yahoo! Or something?
This would be my first place to start
... You can ask a doctor questions also
on this forum, but i'm not sure if its
really a doctor or they take it too
seriously.
Try research ... Let us know if you find
anything out .

Yes I have tried the internet and it says
basically that I have narrowing of those
arteries. Which puts me at risk for
another stroke.. I'm supposed to be
seeking medical attention as quick as
possible but as I dont have insurence it
is slow going... Espec with a neuro that
says that it is norma to have this and I
was born like that which is bs.
