Having Second Thoughts Posted: 01-20-06 06:09am
About ttc. We were going to buy a house
and now we cant and I am stressed and we
are going to be moving in 5 weeks and dont
even have a aprtment picked oput yet.
Plus I have put on so much weight. I
just want to get down to a healthier
weight before I have a baby. I am
disgusted with the way I look. I dont
even want to have sex sometimes because my
self esteem is so low. Im stressed!!!
Plus my periods arent irregular so I keep
thinking I am pregnant when I am not im
just like 5 days late and I am driving
myself insane! I thought I was pregnant
again and I was freaking out for nothing.
I think thats when I realized I dont know
if I want to go through pregnancy again.
Im confused. Help I need emotional
support. Im having a quarter life
crisis!!

Ttc is really stressful isnt it! It seems
that you cant think of anything else the
whole time! I know how frustrating it is
when you are waiting and never get that
postive answer. It definatly sounds like
everything may be getting on top of you,
and im not surprised it sounds as tho
you've got alot going on at the moment!
There is nothing wrong with taking some
time out from ttc for a while, use this
time to sort out the move and get that
confidence back! You will probably find
that when you start feeling calmer and
happier your periods will return to
normal.
Just try to remember you are a women in
your own right and not just a machine put
there to make babies! Just give yourself
some time because when that baby does come
along its going to need its mum to be
happy + healthy. Wishing you the best
with the decision you make, and luck with
the move. :)

I totally agree with jolie. I think that
once you get everthing sorted you will be
mentally ready to have a baby. As for
the phsyical part, I am in the same boat
as you. Since I have gone of bc I have
gained about 15 pounds and I feel
undisireable as well. But my fiance
looks past that and we always try to make
love making or baby making fun. Just
remeber this, if you think you are sexy
then you are sexy. Good luck and I am
sending lots of baby dust to you and all
trying ttc.

Lilly you just take it easy right now.
Don't try just let things go for a while.
I agree with what eveyone is saying. This
is a stressful time and when you keep
thinking you are preggo it is crushing
when you find out otherwise. I just had
an experiance that made me so depressed.
I was supposed to start my period around
christmas. On the 27th I took a preg test
and it was - then about 5 hours later
there was a pink line so I did another
test the next morning and same thing. So
I went and got blood work. By this time I
had taken 4 tests. On the 31st I did my
5th test and the pink line came back
within 10 min. I thought for sure my
blood work would be + but it wasn't. 6
hpt all said +, blood work -. My period
started the 7th of jan. Over a week late.
Sorry so long but just know that I
understand what you are going through and
I will be here if you need to talk to
anybody. This is the biggest emotional
rollercoster a woman can be on, but we are
on it together!
