Gall Bladder Thickened Walled...anybody Help???? Posted: 01-20-06 11:41am
Hi! I have suffered with stomach problems
for 4 years, bloating, nausea, mid stomach
ache and a general feeling of being
unwell. My doc has been palming me off
with all kinds of anti acid drugs and none
of them have helped!
I recently went for an ultrasoyund scan
and it reveled I have a "thickend wall "
gall bladder. My gp has referred me to a
surgeon. I am very worried that I will
need surgery (gall bladder removal) as I
have a big fear of surgery!
Do you think the surgeon will want to
take my thicked wall gall bladder out or
will they perform tests to see if the gall
bladder is working properly.
I would be very gratefully if I could
hear from someone who has had gall bladder
srgery or someone who can tell me what the
next steps are that the surgeon will
follow. I would ask my doctor but she is
very unhelpful!
