Erectile Disfunction
Posted: 01-23-06 10:29am

Hi everyone,

i'm knew to this forum, but have read a lot of the posts doing the rounds on it, and I really appreciate the way that everyone has been so up front, honest and sensitive about what are very personal issues. I don't feel at all at ease talking about my problems normally, but here goes...

I have been having trouble with erectile disfunction for about 4 years now. I am only 23 years old. It began while I was in a very long term relationship (6 years) which finished about a year and a half ago, and was initially just a glitch. I went to see the doctor, he did some blood tests, and assured me that everything was in working order, and that evening I was back in the game and having sex with my girlfriend as though nothing had ever happened.

When we broke up, I had another relationship where the ed was not a problem. Last summer, however, it reared it's ugly head again. I was very down at the time, and assumed it was a mental condition, but I was pretty much unable to get any serious kind of erection (even on my own) for about 4 months. Needless to say, I was so ashamed that this other girl and I did not last.

I now have a new girlfriend, who I care about very much, and with whom I am able to be completely frank and open. From the start (apart from the very first time we ever made love) ed has plagued our sexual relationship, and put a great deal of pressure on us. We went through a phase when we just hardly bothered trying to have sex as it was so painfully embarassing for me.

Before christmas I went to see my gp. He told, as before, that it must be in my mind, and has referred me to a specialist psycho sexual counsellor. However, I was not convinced. I am no longer depressed, have largely regained my self esteem, and so his profile of my ed being attached to my state of mind did not seem to fit.

Since christmas, we have been able to have sex almost every day. However, the volume of my erection is still not what it used to be, and it is rare for me to get spontaneous erections without any touch, and my morning glory is a semi hard-on if i'm lucky...

I decided to read about the condition and came across alan ritz' book. I have since invested in huuge quantites of supplements in the hope that they will sort me out - still waiting for the package to come!

I have ordered;

choline tablets (to be taken with soya lecithin)
l-arginine/l-ornithine tablets
muti vitamin
b vitamin supplement
5 htp (to be replaced by whey protein after some effect is noticed)
evening primrose
l-tyrosine

i have also been taking regularly; ginseng, ginko biloba, and a chinese formula containing cistanche

i have also got tinctures made from horny goat's weed, lycium and schizander, and siberian ginseng, as well as rhodolia supplement (which I started taking only today).

And have also ordered; bulgarian tribulus terrestris, gaspari novedex testosterone booster, gaba

does this sound right? Obviously, not all of these things are to be taken every day, but does anyone out there have any experience of trying this kind of combination? How were the effects?

Does anybody else who has had a similar problem to the one i've described above have any secrets they would care to share? Does my problem ring any bells for anyone?

Since christmas, I certainly feel like I have my mojo, and my libido back, but I really want to regain that extra volume in my penis, and to be able to stop worrying about erections once and for all...

Anyway, I would appreciate any help/ comments/ suggestions that anybody has for me.

Thanks,

alex
