Q: Preeclamsia During 2nd Pregnancy

I had severe preeclamsia which turned into elcamtic sezers causing me to have to deliver first baby early. (too early) and now I am preggers (10 weeks today) and really worried about having the same thing happening again.

I have talked to my dr and all she can say is that there is a 50/50 chance of it happening again. We were so happy and wanting a baby so bad after we got over the shock of being preggers and when we lost him we were just devastated. Now all I can think of is that I am going to loose this one too.

Has anyone experienced this???? Since my dr can't set my mind at ease I was hoping that someone in this forum has had the same thing or similar happen.

Thanks

genipher

Quit worrying and stressing, that alone is not good on a pregnancy. Try to relax(i know that it is easier said than done). A lot of us has miscarried and their is always a 50% chance of anything happening. I am very sorry for your loss but please do not give up hope! It was not your fault! Things happen that are out of our control.
Take care!
Bless you, your husband and your pregnancy!

Thanks sandyallen,

i am trying so hard to just breath everyday wondering if I will loose this baby too. I just remember holding my little skoot telling him bye....And I just don't think I can handle it again. He was a little person.

But I am keeping my head up and a positive attude just for my hubby. I feel in my heart that this baby will be ok and that i'll make it thru without getting sick. It's just calming knowing that someone else has been there too.

Thanks for the advice....I'll chill out and make myself destress...That alone like you said will make things worse.
