Having a miscarriage is similar to giving
birth. Your cervix dilates, you have
contractions, etc. You need to give your
body a chance to fully recover before
jumping into sex again. Sorry for your
loss.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a
miscarriage back in october and I had a
d&e. My doctor told me not to have
sex for a week. I don't know if it's
different whether you miscarry at home or
have the surgery, but for me it was only 1
week (which I waited and then had very
gentle sex).

Because of pregnancy hormones, most women
have less lubracation than normal women.
This can cause for painful sex during
pregnancy. It takes usually about 6
weeks for your body to re-adjust to not
being preg. So sex may be painful for you
anyway. This is probably one of the
reasons your md suggested that you wait
for intercourse! I am very sorry for
your loss! I hope this helps!
