Hi, my name mary, im 34 years old, I have 2 children, their 12 and 4 years of age, I had a tublagation about 4 years ago, and it was the kind my doctor cut my tubes and cauterized them, and he said and asked me are you really sure you want this done?, because theirs no going back, and me and my husband looked at him and we said yes we do..., so so I had it done, and I also my periods are irregular due to my thyriod, so im on synthriod for that too as well.., well my period is every 21 to 28 days and , my 28 day was the 21 of january, now im 4 days late, well on the 20th of january I let my husband cumm in me for the first time in four years, well that happened a on the 20th, the day before I was to get my period, now im thinking I might be pregnant, can their still be a chance with me becoming pregnant after 4 years of the procedure? Sometimes I think to myself that my tubes can grow long by them selfs like a vine a grow back, doe that sound crazy? Please I need your advice, I need some reasurance, from mary.

Hello, I am 33 years old and have had my tubes tied just like yours for four years now. I also have 2 kids. My husband cums in me every time we make love. In fact we use no other form birth control and rely on my tubes being tied to do the trick. I would not be too worried. Most of the time I start my period the first week of the month. It can be delayed from stress, and once I was two weeks late. I could understand being nervous if they were just tied, but with also having them burned too the chances of getting pregnant is small. Like I said don't worry just relax and you should start in a few days. I hope this helped.

Sometimes it could make a miss, tubal ligation doesnt have a 100% guarantee that you wont get pregnant and it doesnt take a miracle to be prego even if u had your tubes tied provided that everythings ok with you.
Still chances of not getting prego in your case is higher than chances that you are.
I suggest w8 for another 2 weeks if you still dont have a period then take an hpt or see a doctor

Hi
Thank you so much for helping, I still havent started so, im not stressing or anything im just waiting on it to come, I see my doctor this friday to get my physical, pap smear and things too, so when he does the examination he would tell me right away if I am, I really need to have a hysterectomy because my bladder or uterus is has fallen at the virgina hole. So thats what im going to see him about also. Im really scared, and nervous too, knock on wood, everything would be ok. Thanks from mary.

If in fact the doctor did the procedure he told you he was doing. Not tubal ligation but tubal cauterization, it could not be possible that you would be pregnant. There is no connection for the sperm to meet the egg. It has been burned off and there is a scar at the end of each side of the tube keeping them from joining again.

If you are pregnant, that doc has some splaining to do. (my besr rikki ricardo accent)

you could be pre-menopausal or it could just be a weird month for you. In any case, if you have insurance and have a doc, they will be the cheapest way to know if you don't, a home prego test is good. We knew nicole was prego exactly 14 days after conception. (thanks to science and the need for medical intervention for our pregnancy)

you should be fine but let us know as soon as you know,
brian
