Sorry, I didnt realise it sounded rude :( it wasnt meant to be :) I was just trying to say I prefer names that are 'correctly' spelt, not ones that are changed (that probably sounds rude as well lol  ) and that it's better to use less popular names so that the child doesnt have 5 other kids with the same name in their class at school. Sorry

Just wanted to say that I love the name ireland. It's not yet too popular but it has been used so its not something that makes you stop and go "wth was she thinking", you know. Very cute.

Ireland is possibly not the best name for a baby. After all, it's had rather a violent time of it, what with the religious wars and the ira and all that. :)

i like hannah, personally. It's a very nice name for a little girl.

um well I am not paranoid that 7 letters is going to cause some kind of hardship on my daughter...It's just a name...It doesn't have anything to do with who a person is. I don't see how the countries hard times are going to reflect on my daughter growing up...But thanks for your imput anyways. I like hannah too, but it's very popular right now...So I am kind of turned off of using it because of that.

oh, I know that. I'm just worried about possible negative connotations should she ever actually meet an irish person.

by the way, do you know anything about why I can't use capitals? I'm rather a grammar freak and it's killing me.

before each letter that you would like to capitalize, place a period.

Lol well i'm part irish and so is her dad ahaha so all she has to say is shut up i'm irish. Ahaha although she may not look very much like it as her father is part native...Lmao (although I am very white and he is only part...But looks like it a fair bit- so I am counting on her not looking too much like it).

Just to let anyone who cared know. My daughter was born on march 15th, she was 8lbs 10 and 3/4 oz...And was 21 inches long. I named her ireland gael and she is extremely healthy and look nothing like her father (thank god!). Lol.
