Should I Just Blame Anxiety? Posted: 01-26-06 15:57pm
Last jan I had a 15cm by 15cm cyst on my
right ovary - it was the first time I had
ever been in pain or ill like this in my
life - I had an emergency operation the
remove the cyst, ovary and tube
then in feb I had another cyst on my left
ovary - had an operation to remove the
cyst and they saved my ovary. I was told
both times that I have a high chance of
getting them again and next time they
don't know if they will be able to save
the ovary and that its going to be a
ticking time bomb and my chances of having
children are very low.
March I was back in hospital again with
internal bleeding (very very painful)
april I had a scare - nothing wrong
may I had a scare and was in so much pain
- was told that it looked like something
had rupured but was fine
june went on birth control to try and rest
my only ovary for a couple of months
july was still on the birth control
aug - was fine
sept - was fine
oct - started to get pains again but on my
right side in which I have no ovary
nov - started to get the pains again
started on left side and moved to right
side but my right side always feels worse
even though I know I have no ovary on that
side
dec - pain even worse and also got period
pains which I have not has since the
operatiom
jan - just had a very painful heathy blood
clutted (sorry) period and now I have
finish 3 days ago and I am starting to get
pain again but at the moment on my left
side and my belly is rock hard and tender
on eft side but not right side
i know the pain is there I can feel it -
but could it be anxiety?
I am so scared of losing my only ovary
left and want children so badly but now I
am scared to go and see the doctors in
case it is nothing and I am wasting there
time and its just anxiety -

Why worry about wasting a doctor's time?
Do they ever apologize for wasting anyone
else's when you're in the waiting room for
a half hour? If you're worried, get it
checked out. That's what doctors are
there for.

I agree with lennon, you should go see
your doctor. Never worry about wasting
there time. That is what doctor's are
there for. I have been to the doctor so
much lately but you cannot worry about
"their" time. You have to look after
yourself.
So, go to the doctor okay? I hope that
you find out what is going on.
Take care

Thank you for your messages.
Yesterday I did an ovulating test to
eliminate that the pain is being cause by
this (which was what was happening before
when I had false alarms) and I am not
ovulating.
The pain at the moment is not unbareable
and is not constant it keeps coming and
going. I am going to see how I get on
today and if the pain gets worse then I am
going to see the doctor monday.
