Mono Or Strep? How Long Will It Last Posted: 01-26-06 17:10pm
Hey,
i've had the worst sore throat the past
2 days, my tonsils are all swollen and
covered with white puss, but I can't blow
my nose or cough up any of it. I hardly
sleep or eat... So I went to the doc
thinking it was tonsilitus, well that test
came back negative and he said it might be
mono. He put me on zithromicine, and
said if it doesnt clear up in 4 days to
come back for amono test. I dont know
what it is, but im not any more tired than
usual and I feel fine other than everytime
I swallow I have the worst pain ever.
Has anybody else gotten this? Also, if
it is mono, how long is this sore throat
gunna last? I honestly dont think I can
live with it for much longer... Owwwww
