Quick Question

Does anybody know if it's ok to be on prozac while pregnant? Has anyone ever been on it or another form of anti-anxiety medication while pregnant?

Thanks

Newly Pregnant

Hello scarlett, I am 5 weeks pregnant and I was prescribed celexa 20mg and propranolol 10mg around november of last year. I was curious whether I would have to discontinue taking these medications where I am now pregnant. The doctor said that I can continue these drugs, that there is no evidence that it will harm my baby. Although where my nerves are quite bad (i have gad with panic attacks) he said that it would cause more harm for me to go off of the medication rather than to remain taking it. That information came from the doctor who will be delivering my baby. So, although my medication is safe to take I would check with your doctor just in case. Better to be safe.

Good luck, and best wishes.
