Hi,
my parter and I have been trying for 4
months now. I havent posted in this forum
before and could really do with your
advice!
My periods can be irregular, latey my
leutal phase is 23 days when 8 months ago
it used to be 28days. I have been 'doing
the deed' roughly in and arround the
middle of my cycle and yesterday my af
should have shown but it hasnt. I had
some cramps this morning but no sign of
her yet. Later this afternoon I was quite
sick and am still feeling a little unwell.
However, I dont want to take this as much
of a sign as recently my sister and
brother-in-law have been suffering from a
stomach bug so I may have caught that.
I'm wondering if my period was actually
due yesterday or whether I should wait
untill it hasnt come by day 28? Its only
in the past 7/8 months its been 23days
between periods.
Does anyone else have irregular periods
and if so how do you know when to test for
sure?

I have extremely irregular periods. In
fact, it's not at all uncommon for me to
skip a month at a time. I have always
waited until about a month and a half have
passed and then see how I feel before
testing.
However, that being said, everyone is
different. Take an hpt or, probably
better, go to a doctor and get a blood
test. I say go to the doctor because it's
possible that you are both pregnant and
sick with that stomach bug. If you are,
then I would think you should get to a
doctor asap so that you can be getting
better.
