False Labor At Twenty One Weeks! Posted: 01-30-06 17:35pm
I went into false labor on friday in the
middle of bio 10 - my brother came and got
me and took me to the hospital, they
checked things out, gave me an ultrasound
- I was panicking, going completely
hormonal, crying and all, but they managed
to stop the contractions. My doctor told
me that the babies might have been getting
restless because it's getting so cramped
in my belly. I'm getting bigger, and they
think I might have to go on bed rest soon
and get a tutor as i'm in my sophomore
year. I've been really busy with
midterms, stressed, active - the doctor
says this might have caused the
contractions. A few questions for all the
mommies out there:
1. Did you go into false labor, and if
so, was it in the second trimester?
2. Did any of you go on bedrest? How did
you deal?
3. Do you think i'll have to get a
caesarean if my tummy gets too big? I'm
only 5"4, and my pre-preg weight was 112
lbs.
Thanks! :)
Well I can answer number 2...I'm on
bedrest and it's okay...It's not
strict...So I can move around the house
and go out places...But it's still kind
of lame as I was out of school and
couldn't go out that much (i was having
pains...So I wanted to stay in bed as
moving hurts) but it gets boring lol be
sure to have lots of books, and your
computer will become your best friend
haha...Plus if you have school work still
time should pass fairly quickly. I wish
you the best of luck! Let us know what
happens.
As for number 3 I am not sure the size of
your belly has to do with anything as some
peoples bellies get very large but baby
sizes are normal. If the babies get
pretty big then you may have too...But
maybe not, if your worried about it I
would talk to your doctor :d

i went into the hospital at 22 weeks with
contractions...They were false just as
yours were..Everything was fine with my
son though ...I never had to be put on bed
rest..But im sure sleeping and relaxing
would be the best way to pass the time if
you do get put on it..Because when the
babys come you wont remember what a full
nights rest is..As for a c-section im sure
your doctor will talk with you about
that..If they notice you needing one then
they will sure say something about
it..Because they will try to get you ready
for it ..Before its time..Although some
women go in and find out right at the last
moment...I would just talk with your
doctor about it..As for your size ...I
dont think thats a problem...I was 119
before I was pregnant and im 5'2 and my
son was 8 pounds 3 ounces and I had him
natural....

I went into false labor at 24 weeks with
bleeding, that is when they found out I
had complications with my son unfortunatly
I was on bedrest till 32 weeks. Bedrest
was kind of hard since I already have an
18 month old who doesnt stop, shes a good
child but it made things hard. With
twins you usually need a c-section belly
size means nothing alot of ppl think im
just fat but im full term with a smaller
belly depends on your structure.

On those baby shows if the first baby is
head down they will let you try to deliver
vaginally in the or jsut in case its the
second kid they worry about in case when
the first one moves out the second one
turns funny but they can manually move
them but ive heard thats painful. I had a
c-section and other than the cathader and
the spinal it was ok my incision hurt when
I moved for like 3 days but it was
bearable

Well, it's official - i'm going on
bedrest. I'm going to be taking my
courses online so I don't fall behind,
which is also what i'm going to be doing
once the twins are born. Today was my
last day at school, and i'm now going to
spend four months at home. -sigh- I get
to be up for ten minutes every hour, and I
can be outside for twenty minutes a day.
I'm not allowed to be walking around too
much. I'm going to get so flabby, and not
just in the tummy area anymore! Haha. My
doctor says that if the babies don't move
around as much, my time that i'm allowed
up can be increased. Thanks for everyone
who posted - i'm sure everything's going
to be fine. And i'm also hoping that I
can have at least one of the twins
conventionally - I may regret it, but I
want to. :) well, I should be on the
forum more often now that I won't have
anything else to do! :)

I think is great that you want to try and
have one conventionally than at least if
the second one has to b a c-section when
its all over you can say youve gotten to
experience both and if later u have more
kids youll know which one you preferred

Approx how bit is the scare? And where is

I had mine done a year ago on saturday and
right now since im pregnant again its
kinda purple cuz the skin is regenerating
and stretching again but its below my
underwear and my mom had one and my sister
is 3 but when she was like 2 you could
barely see my moms it was a light pink but
my mom is also really white to so that
made it a little more noticable and its
only like 6 inches across
