There is a website that gives the info on the best hpt. Test that show the lowest number of miu will be most sensitive to detect the hcg level. A test with an miu number of 20-25 would be best. A test with an miu of 50 would be less sensitive to detect the hcg level.

I used first responce and it worked...I tested a couple days before my period was due and it came out positive...And then I tested the day of my expected period and it was still positive...:d I swear by it.

I've always used the digital read out tests. The clear-blue has always been a favorite of mine because it actually says "pregnant" or "not pregnant".. I've used the other tests before with the plus or minus sign, but I just find them too difficult to read or understand. Plus, the clear-blue has always been accurate with me.

Hope that helps!

I just used the cheap equate brand from wal-mart, pack of two for $8. I tested the day after I missed my period, and there was a faint positive. That was on a wednesday. I then was tested at the health department on friday, again with a faint positive.

We used the 2 for 1 deal at walgreens, they worked just fine. In fact, since we had to use a fertility specialist to do the insemination, we tested exactly 14 days after that and had a positive result with a normal ept generic brand.

I hate ept!!!!! I used them with my first pregnancy and it took forever to get my positive.

First repsonse. I swear by them. They're cheaper and faster!

Hpt= home pregnancy test

ept= early pregnancy test

i think the ept can detect really early after conception.

As I said in an earlier post, we used the walgreens brand ept buy1 get1 free and it was accurate enough to tell us nicole was preggers exactly 14 days after insemination. Regardless of how anyone else feels about them, they do work. I have a 3 month old boy that we knew was in there 14 days after becoming a zygote :)

Equate
I used the wal-mart equate brand after asking the pharmacist. He said that equate is just as good as the name brands...It worked for me...Tested positive less than 1 week after I was late.
