I need some help regarding a situation i'm
experiencing. I had my normal period
started on dec 30th/05 and ended on jan
3rd/06. On jan 7th/05, me and my
boyfriend had an accident and an hour
later I took plan b (morning after pill -
an hour later).
A week later on jan 13th, I got some
bleeding which felt like my period, but it
was a bit heavier. It lasted for two days
and went away. It has now been 27 days
since my original period ended and 23 days
since I took plan b --- and still no
period, which is totally freaking me out.
I have no idea how long it's going to take
until I get my period. I took 2 pregnancy
tests recently - both negative.
If anyone could provide any advice
whatsoever, it would be so greatly
appreciated. Thank-you so much!!

Have you ever taken a morning-after pill
before? It very well could be screwing
with your body and throwing your period
out of whack. Also, the fact that you are
stressed is probably affecting it, too.
I'd say that unless you always start on
the same day (the 30th) every month like
clockwork, you really have no reason to
panic right now. And the fact that the
hpts (if they were early response) were
negative should calm you a little. But,
if it doesn't, trust me... I
understand.
If I were you, i'd give it a little more
time. But if you're that worried, go get
a blood test.

i agree. The morning after pill is a
high dose of hormones, remember. So it's
very possible that it's throwing your
cycle out of whack. If you aren't
experiencing any pregnancy symptoms, you
should try not to worry too terribly much.
But like she said, a blood test will
tell you for sure. A blood test never
lies!!

I can't go to my family doc. Since my mom
is my family doc.... I'm not ready to
tell her all this, hoping that I will get
out of this alright... The stress it's
causing.. I have no words to describe
it..

You should be able to go to a planned
parenthood place or a clinic and get
tested confidentially. Just look one up
and give them a call. Like i've told
someone on here before: even if they do
report to parents, they can't report you
for just calling and asking.
