Tell it like it is why don't you!!!!!

Perhaps if I explain..... Ava - i've always loved it, and gwendolyn was my maternal nan's name, who died when I was 2 months old so it's got a bit of meaning. Mackenzie - my husband loves this name but i'm not so convinced either, and jack was his uncle's name who he was quite close to. Have I managed to sway you a bit??

Vicky 43 you don't have to explain your choices. That was just rude! If someone doesn't like the names you picked that's okay but that's no reason to insult you. Honestly, I think ava gwendolyn is very pretty. Mackenzie is okay too but here in the states it's a little overused. I don't like jack either. But it's your baby. You pick the name that you like.

I love the name ava, in fact its my cats name, mackenzie for some reason I associate with a girl. Gwendolyn is different and your choice has reason, jack is okay, it seems to be very popular at the moment.

I really like your girl's name...And if it's a family name that makes it all the more special. I'm a fan of older names, I think too many people are going with the fad names these days.
As for mackenzie, I honestly don't see it as a guys' name, but these days everyone is naming their girls boy's names and vice versa. I've definately heard a lot worse name than that...Plus if you want you can call him mack which seems a little more masculine to me.

Ava is cute, although I don't really like gwendolyn. I really like the name mackenzie but i'd use it faster for a girl than for a boy. But this is your baby and as long as you like it thats all that matters. :)

I like them all and if someone does not like it just tell them to shove it, gwenolyn was a good pick, it is kind of an old fashioned name a friend of mine's name was gwendolyn but we all called he gwen, I like ava too. The way you are spelling mackenzie, seems more male than mckenzie because you can always shorten it to be mack. Just like morgan can either be for a boy or girl, just as long as you are happy with it don't worry what others think, just don't name him sue.
Congrats to you and yours!
