Delaying Ejaculation with Serotonin Uptake Inhibitors Posted: 01-31-06 10:22am
Hi,
I am a married man for last 10 years. I
had first intercourse only after marriage.
Since then, within 15-30 seconds of
inserting penis in vagina I get
ejaculation and lose erection. As a result
my married life is getting affected, since
I could not satisfy my wife. I engage in
sex only once in a week.
2)Recently, I lose erection if I engage on
foreplay for about 15 -20 minutes.
Could you please let me know how to
overcome the above defectives( I am
willing to try all means to get rid of
this problems). Thank you in advance.

It sounds as though you might need expert
help from both a urologist and a mental
health professional. There are some
medications used for premature
ejaculation: serotonin uptake inhibitors,
for example. These pharmaceuticals are
principally antidepressant medications;
delaying ejaculation is one of their side
effects. You will have to visit your
doctor for a prescription because the
medications can be used only with a
doctor’s permission.
