Acne...acne And More Acne!!! Posted: 01-31-06 22:46pm
Anybody please help me, I am 12 weeks
pregnant. My acne keeps getting worse and
worse. I have tried proactiv, clean and
clear even the herbal stuff. Nothing has
worked. My face is always pink and
pimples showing up everywhere. This can
not be normal. I do not feel pretty
anymore, I look at myself in the mirror
and try to cover it with make up but it
still shows through and gets worse.
Sometimes I feel like my boyfriend does
not even want to see me. It makes me cry.
If anyone has advise lay it on me.
Please. I can take the pain. Thanks.

Find and make an appointment with a
dermatologist. Hope all goes well for
you.

just a phase. Hopefully

I so understand I have bad acne worse with
pregnancy and my periods I have tried
everything and I mean absolutly everything
my face is very oily so I get breakouts
constantly. I found this stuff thats not
even marketed for acne but for pores that
works miracles boughtt it for facials
(awhile back) avon sells it for 10$ a
bottle (porefection mask) it either
removes or makes it less visible.
Whatever yo do dont use accutane dangerous
during pregnancy and some other acne
cleansers are as well~!
Good luck~!

Welcome to one of the very unpleasant side
effects of pregnancy. I had the same
problem and it did put a damper on my
self- esteem. Just remember its only for
about nine months. Also some acne
treatments are not advisable during
pregnancy. My doc was basicly like, you
have to just live with it. I used dove
soap to wash my face. It helped some but
was no miricle solution.

Unfortunately, it is one of the many
changes due to pregnancy. It is the
hormones and increased oil secretion. I
am now almost 30 weeks, and my face is
just now finally starting to clear up.
