Hey! Im new to this site so im not sure really how it all works but here I go. My name is laura,im 18, and my boyfriend and I have been together a year and 5 months today, and I found out I am pregnant two weeks ago. We used protection..Most of the time  and used the "pull out method" so I guess we were kind of asking for it in a way. :? At first I was really scared and so was my bf, we didnt know wat to do or what to say because obviously it was unexpected. I was debating on abortion and I just , I dont know I couldn't do it.
The first person I told was my mom. My mom and I havea good relationship but she belives in something I dont. My mom and my bfs mom are very religious and so we're very scared of telling them. My mom said she was"dissapointed" but would support us ( except financially of course) aswell as my dad and my bfs parents. So it all worked out, and my parents are totally against the fact so I mean, it all works out in the end. I was scared, but now im totally excited!! We are moving out in our own place march 1, and im working my butt of as muich as I can to get my 600 hours for mat. Leave. So thats my story. I have been feeling some like" period cramps" latley but not like omg im dieing feeling. So I hear thats normal. I have crazy cravings for dairy. Especially milk. Im in love with milk its so weird. Anyways, if anyone wants to talk about their experience in pregnancy that they're going thru feel free to reply or email me.

Glad to hear its all working its way out--there are worst things than being pregnant. I'm sure you and ur bf will be able to handle this, and obth your parents will be very happy with their new grandchild.

How far along are you now? Have you been to the docs yet?
Best of luck

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Yes, period like cramping is normal in pregnancy. It will get a little worse as you progress. Just keep an eye out for any type of period like bleeding. If you get heavy bleeding along with the cramping call your doc right away.

banana boat,
get a pregnancy test from a drug store. if you're pregnant, talk to your mom. hopefully, she'll be supportive and looking out for you. if not, remember, it's your decision, and no one else's. you'll need to talk to someone, so post back. you'll need counseling. a baby is a blessing. i think it's a gift. if you're not ready for a baby, adoption is a loving option. there's no shame in that. anyway, i hope your parents will be supportive if you're pregnant. i'm a mom and i know i would be. but, parents can freak out too and make wrong decisions, so don't let anyone tell you what to do.

Yes, it's normal. Your uterus is stretching and growing pretty rapidly. It's normally the size of a plum, and by 8 weeks it's the size of a grapefruit. I would only be concerned about the cramps if they're really bad, or you have any red bleeding with them.

There are going to be all sorts of strange new pains and feelings in your body- I recommend a good pregnancy book to read! Try "Ask a Midwife" or "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy". Another good one is "Pregnancy Sucks". It's funny but very informative.

Good luck!!
