I have worked third shift for over five years now. When I was pregnant I felt pukey when I woke up every day, around 4 pm.

For me my prenatals were making it worse and my doc said I could take two flinstone vitamins with iron instead. It helped alot.

Lol I had 24 hour a day sickness. I was put on diclectin to help me and told to stop taking the pre-natals with iron, I only started taking iron supplements when I was about 4 months along.

Yeah, it's anytime a day sickness but it's usually pretty bad when your tummy's empty (or simply not quite full). I didn't really vomit as much as I was continuously queasy. Trust me, I would have killed to have been able to vomit by month 3. What helped me was eating small things in between meals, ginger tea and oddly enough lemon drops. Always filling up the beast kept it quiet.

When I first got preggers the "morning sickness" was more like "right after dinner sickness" and then about two weeks ago, I thought it was 'lifting' but the about a week later it flipped flopped and the "right after dinner sickness" turned in to the traditional morning sickness makeing me late for work every morning. My throat is raw as it can be. I am going in to my 2nd trimester. Unfortunatly it doesn't just turn off....I just hope it doesn't linger tooo long into the 2nd trimester too long.

I saw some baby show on tv and the pregnant woman claimed that she "didnt believe" in morning sickness therefore she didnt have any. Like it is just all in our heads.

What ever!!

If that was the case then I just had the flu these last few months and I probibly wouldnt' have even thought I was preggers until I missed my period. I was ill long before I was late.

I dont' believe that at all

I was one of the luck ones to avoid morning sickness. I did get sick, but only when I brushed my teeth. My mom being a dental hygentist told me to cut down my toothpaste to a pea size and use a smaller headed toothbrush. It worked miracles!!

I did get a little nausious in the beginning but I would kill a sprite and take a nap....So I did a lot of sleeping in my 1st trimester.

I was getting sick before I knew I was pregnant. I thought I was just getting sick.

The vitamins did make me feel worse so what helped me was taking them on a full stomach and I started taking them at night before I went to bed so that I wouldn't have to endure it so much. It helped but I was still getting sick until about 4 months or so.

Just try not to get yourself dehydrated, that can be worse, sip on some ginger-ale, not real cold, try to nibble on soda crackers if all possible.
I got sick morning, noon and night with mine until someone suggested this.
Good luck!

That's so weird about the vitamins. My doc told me that a lot of women take the vitamins at night because (they say) it helps them with morning sickness. I take mine after dinner just because it's the easiest for me to remember, but I haven't been sick yet (knock on wood).

You get morning sickness because of the horomone hcg, the levels are usually higher in the morning, so thats why they call it morning sickness. It also can increse throughout different times of the day, so thats why its not always in the morning!
